- Two baking sheets should be lined with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour and powdered sugar.
- Separately, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually whisk in the granulated sugar until the egg whites are glossy.
- Fold the almond flour and egg white mixture together.
- Fill a piping bag with the mixture and pipe it onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Allow the macarons to sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the macarons for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove the macarons from the oven and cool completely before filling them.
- To make the filling, combine Nutella, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Fill a piping bag with the filling and pipe it onto the flat side of half of the macarons.
- To make a sandwich, top with the remaining macarons.
