Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Using parchment paper, line a baking sheet.
  • Sift together the powdered sugar, almond flour, and cocoa powder in a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy.
  • Continue to beat until stiff peaks form after adding the granulated sugar.
  • Incorporate the dry ingredients and walnuts until the batter is smooth and shiny.
  • Fill a piping bag with a round tip with the batter.
  • Pipe small circles of batter onto the baking sheet that has been prepared.
  • To release any air bubbles, gently tap the baking sheet on the counter.
  • Allow the macarons to form a skin at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the macarons are set and slightly crisp on the outside.
  • Remove the macarons from the oven and place them on a baking sheet to cool completely.
  • Fill with your desired filling and sandwich together once cooled.
