Strawberry Cream Macarons Recipe

Strawberry cream macarons are a delectable and delicate treat that are ideal for any occasion. The delicate and crisp shells contain a creamy strawberry filling that will impress your guests.

  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 20 minutes

Instructions

  • To make the macarons: Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  • Add the granulated sugar gradually and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Mix in the food coloring until well combined.
  • The almond flour mixture should be folded in until the batter is smooth and shiny.
  • Fill a piping bag halfway with batter and pipe 1-inch circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • To release any air bubbles, gently tap the baking sheet on a flat surface.
  • Allow 15 minutes for the macarons to form a skin at room temperature.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the macarons are set but still slightly soft in the center.
  • Before removing the macarons from the baking sheet, allow them to cool completely.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the powdered sugar gradually until smooth.
  • Beat in the strawberry puree and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Fill a piping bag halfway with the filling.
  • To put together: Pair the macarons in similar sizes and shapes.
  • Pipe a small amount of filling onto one macaron's flat side and top with the other macaron.
  • Rep with the rest of the macarons and filling.
  • Serve the macarons immediately or refrigerate them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
