  • Cook Time: 20 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
  • Two baking sheets should be lined with parchment paper.
  • Sift together the powdered sugar and almond flour in a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until they are foamy.
  • Continue to beat until soft peaks form after adding the cream of tartar.
  • To the egg whites, gradually add the granulated sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold in the almond flour mixture until completely combined.
  • Stir in the pistachio flour and food coloring.

  • Fill a piping bag with a round tip with the mixture.
  • Pipe 1-inch (25-cm) circles onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
  • Gently tap the baking sheets on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
  • Allow the macarons to cool for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Bake the macarons for 18-20 minutes, or until they are set but not browned.
  • Remove the macarons from the baking sheets after they have completely cooled.
